Benching & Supplies

Double wire cages (22” x 22” x 44”) are available upon request if you are not bringing your own cage. We must know who will be providing their own cages in order to properly set up the benching area. Everyone is expected to supply their own litter boxes. Litter will be provided.

With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not required to compete in the cat’s first show, but is required for confirmation of titles and scoring for TICA awards after the first TICA show.

All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the first day of the show (born between 7/3/2017 and 11/3/2017). Kittens may be spayed or neutered.

Household Pets
Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper division or color of your cat, check out or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Hard copy photos will be returned at check in.
Health Requirements

This is a non–vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites, or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Feline Enteritis, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within 21 days prior to the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition. Any cat which is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. New York law requires any animal over the age of 4 months be vaccinated against Rabies (be prepared to show proof). TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to benching.
