Her friends call her Gigi but you may address her as Her
Fawnness. Yes, thats her, under the cat bed! Youd
try to hide, too, if you were being stalked! Yes, Gigi has a cyber-stalker,
a fawn-obsessed person who thinks her picture and identity are his
for the taking.
I created this site because my family and friends kept telling
me I needed a home page. My response was always the same, Why?
Well, Im still not sure why; I guess I didnt think Gigi
was a good enough reason to put up a web site! Silly me. I bet shell
never let me live THAT down.
This site is mostly about my cats and the cat fancy. I began showing
Ab in 1990 and showed my first
Somali in 1993. I became interested in pedigrees when I got
Ab and realized she was related to my first Aby born in 1976, and
that has led me to design my own pedigree program and to share a
large database with and learn from some longtime Aby and Somali
pedigree researchers. I figured out how to create HTML pedigrees
but I don't have any here, due to the cyber-stalker who is after
poor Gigi. Here
is one I formatted for a good friend. Somehow I got into designing
basic web graphics (like the ones here and here).
I was the webmaster for The
Association for Somali Cats (TASC) and now I am the webmaster
for two cat clubs, Jersey State
Feline Fanciers and The
Somali International Cat Club.
There is more to life than cats, so I am told. Other hobbies include
record collecting, and apparently, gardening! I started Bos
Garden in 1998 with a lilac bush and a few perennials. I added
more last year and only time will tell how green my thumb is. There
is no Eglantine in the garden, as she is strictly an indoor cat,
but there are some nice irises,
and a few daylilies and other flowers.
Of course, no summer garden at the Chamberlin homestead would be
complete without Dads
Tomatoes!
I hope you enjoy your visit. Click the links at left or below to
see some silly candid photos, meet each
of my cats or stroll in my garden, Check
out my Links page to visit some of my friends
sites, learn more about cats, take a cruise
to Russia or admire the cutest kids on earth, Will
and Nick Jones!
2002 Update!
The Jones Kids, and their parents and their cat, have moved! They
have a big huge house south of Charlotte, and hopefully soon there
will be pictures at thejoneskids.net.
I have a new show kitty! The DOOD was adopted from a rescue group
in Laurel, Maryland this past July. My friend Kathy
and I co-own him and we have been showing him. Here
are some pictures from his first two shows and here
are his professional pictures taken on my birthday! |
